Dr. Mark Smilack attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, from 1965-1968. After 3 years at Miami University, Dr. Smilack was granted early admission to The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Dr. Smilack attended OSU's College of Dentistry from 1968 - 1972. He graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS). After graduation, Dr. Smilack served with the U.S. Naval Dental Corps in San Diego, California from 1972 - 1973. Dr. Mark Smilack returned to Columbus, Ohio and took over the private practice of his late father, Dr. Benjamin Smilack. Dr. Mark Smilack has been in private general practice from 1973 - today --- some 30 years. Dr. Smilack is a Fellow in the International College of Dentistry; a Fellow in the Pierre Fauchard Academy of Dentistry; a Fellow in the Academy of OsseoIntregration; a member of the Ohio, Columbus, Chicago, & American Dental Associations. Dr. Smilack is a member of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity; a member of the Academy of General Dentistry; & a member of the Seattle Study Club. Dr. Smilack has an emphasis on oral rehabilitation in the practice. Surgical and restorative implant therapy, all phases of surgical & preventive periodontics,endodontics, & TMD (TMJ) diagnosis and treatment are performed at the office --- in addition to general dentistry.

Dr. Jeffrey Hanin joined Dr. Mark Smilack in 2003. Dr. Hanin was born and raised in Bexley, Ohio.  Jeff completed his BA in neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh.  Jeff returned home to graduate from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry with a D.D.S. in 2003.  Dr. Hanin and his wife Melissa currrently live in Clintonville.  Dr. Hanin has training and experience in many areas of dentistry, such as implants, endodontics, periodontal and oral surgery. Dr. Hanin is a member of the American Dental Association, Columbus Dental Society, Ohio Dental Association and the Seattle Study Club.  Outside the office Jeff enjoys running, weight training, hiking and fishing.
